Charles R. Coe

Charles Coe, of the Oklahoma City Golf and Country Club, played his best game when he needed it most and dominated the field at Oak Hill Country Club, Rochester, N.Y.

His biggest thrill came when he defeated E. Harvie Ward, Jr., at the 19th after being 3 down and 5 to play, and then defeated Johnny Dawson at the 21st on the same day.

Coe defeated Rufus King in the final by 11 and 10, the largest winning margin ever in the final.
