Robert A. Gardner of the Hinsdale Golf Club, won at
the age of 19 years and 5 months to become the youngest winner. H. Chandler
Egan was the loser in the final by 4 and 3. Travers did not defend his
title. The Championship was played at the Chicago Golf Club, in September.
