Gene Littler, of the La Jolla (Calif.) Country Club, who was serving in the United States Navy, won a victory for youth again at the Oklahoma City Golf and Country Club.

He finished with a birdie to defeat Dale Morey, 1 up, after Morey had made successive birdies on the 34th and 35th holes to square the final with one hole to play. Littler was 23, and he turned professional in January, 1954.
